ਮਨਮੁਖ ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹੁ ਹੈ; ਨਾਮਿ. ਨ ਲਗੋ ਪਿਆਰੁ ॥

manamukh maaeaa mohu hai; naam. na lago piaar |

Sant Singh KhalsaThe self-willed manmukh is emotionally attached to Maya - he has no love for the Naam.
Manmohan SinghAn apostate loves wealth and enshrines not affection for the Name.
Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਅਧਰਮੀ ਧਨ-ਦੌਲਤ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਉਂਦਾ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਉਹ (ਮਾਇਆ ਰੂਪ) ਖੋਟ ਕਮਾਉਂਦਾ, ਖੋਟ ਹੀ ਇਕੱਠੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਖੋਟ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਖ਼ੁਰਾਕ ਬਣਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ, ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ)।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸੰਗ੍ਰਹੈ = ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਆਹਾਰੁ = ਖ਼ੁਰਾਕ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਮਨੁੱਖ) ਵਿਹੁ ਰੂਪ ਮਾਇਆ-ਧਨ ਨੂੰ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਖਪਦੇ ਮਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਧਨ ਅਖ਼ੀਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਸੁਆਹ (ਵਾਂਗ) ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਬਿਖੁ = ਜ਼ਹਿਰ। ਸੰਚਿ = ਇਕੱਠੀ ਕਰ ਕੇ। ਛਾਰੁ = ਸੁਆਹ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਲੋਂ ਕਰਮ ਤੇ ਧਰਮ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰਤਾ ਦੇ ਸਾਧਨ ਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਸੰਜਮ (ਭੀ) ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ (ਪਰ) ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਲੋਭ ਤੇ ਵਿਕਾਰ (ਹੀ) ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸੰਜਮ = ਇੰਦ੍ਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਸ ਵਿਚ ਰੱਖਣ ਦੇ ਸਾਧਨ।

SikhNet (Spanish)Trata de actuar bien y rectamente, trata de ser piadoso y disciplinado, pero en su interior está el llamado al vicio y a la avaricia.

ਨਾਨਕ. ਜਿ ਮਨਮੁਖੁ ਕਮਾਵੈ, ਸੁ. ਥਾਇ ਨਾ ਪਵੈ; ਦਰਗਹਿ ਹੋਇ ਖੁਆਰੁ ॥੨॥

Sant Singh KhalsaO Nanak, whatever the self-willed manmukh does, is not acceptable; in the Court of the Lord, he is dishonored. ||2||

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਜੁਗ = ਸਮਾ, ਜੀਵਨ। ਕਲਿ = ਝਗੜੇ, ਕਲੇਸ਼। ਕਲਿਜੁਗ = ਉਹ ਜੀਵਨ-ਸਮਾ ਜੋ ਝਗੜਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਹੈ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵਿਛੋੜੇ ਦਾ ਸਮਾ ("ਇਕ ਘੜੀ ਨ ਮਿਲਤੇ ਤਾ ਕਲਿਜੁਗੁ ਹੋਤਾ")।
