ਆਪੇ ਜਲੁ. ਆਪੇ ਦੇ ਛਿੰਗਾ; ਆਪੇ ਚੁਲੀ ਭਰਾਵੈ ॥

aape jal. aape de chhingaa; aape chulee bharaavai |

Sant Singh KhalsaHe Himself is the water, He Himself gives the tooth-pick, and He Himself offers the mouthwash.

Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਆਪ ਉਹ ਪਾਣੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਦੰਦਾਂ ਦਾ ਤੀਲ੍ਹਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਕੁਰਲੀ ਕਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਣੀ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਛਿੰਗਾ = ਦੰਦਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਫਸਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਅੰਨ ਕੱਢਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਸੂਈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਵਿਦਾ ਕਰਾਵੈ = ਤੋਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ; ਰੁਖ਼ਸਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਕਰਮ ਕਾਂਡ ਦੇ) ਕਰਮ ਤੇ ਧਰਮ ਸਾਰੇ ਬੰਧਨ (ਰੂਪ) ਹੀ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਜਾਂ ਮੰਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਭੀ (ਸੰਸਾਰ/ਮਾਇਆ ਨਾਲ ਮੋਹ) ਜੋੜੀ ਰੱਖਣ ਦਾ ਵਸੀਲਾ ਹਨ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਕਲਤ੍ਰ = ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ। ਧੰਧੁ = ਝੰਬੇਲਾ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਅੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਨਣ ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੇ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ) ਰਜ਼ਾ ਵਿਚ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪਏ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਥੀਐ = ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਰਜਾਇ = ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਇੰਜ ਉਹ (ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ) ਬੰਧਨ ਤੋੜ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸੱਚੇ ਹਰੀ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਅਗਿਆਨ (ਰੂਪ) ਹਨੇਰਾ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਫਿਰ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਉਸੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।

Sant Singh KhalsaWhen the Creator, sitting all by Himself, created the Universe, he did not consult with any of His servants;

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਪਾਏ ਥਾਇ = ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
