ਨਾਨਕ. ਜਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਕਰਹਿ ਸੋ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ਹੈ; ਜੋ ਨਾਮਿ ਰਹੇ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ॥੨॥

naanak. ji guramukh kareh so paravaan hai; jo naam rahe liv laae |2|

Sant Singh KhalsaO Nanak, whatever the Gurmukhs do is acceptable; they remain lovingly absorbed in the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||2||
Manmohan SinghNanak, whatever the Guru-wards, who remain absorbed in the Name's love, do, that, becomes acceptable.

Fareedkot Teekaਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਿਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਜੋ ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਨਾਮੀ ਮੇਂ ਵਾ ਨਾਮ ਮੇਂ ਬਿਰਤੀ ਕੋ ਲਗਾਇ ਰਹੇ ਹੈਂ, ਵਹੁ ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਜੋ ਕਰਤੇ ਹੈਂ ਸੋਈ ਪਰਵਾਨ ਹੋਤਾ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵ ਸੇ ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਕਰਤਬ ਸਭ ਸਫਲ ਹੋਤੇ ਹੈਂ॥੨॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਕਬੂਲ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਬ੍ਰਿਤੀ ਜੋੜੀ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੨॥

Fareedkot Teekaਤਿਸ ਨਾਮ ਕੋ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਕਿਸੀ ਨੇ ਪਾਇਆ ਨਹੀਂ, ਜਿਨੋਂ ਕੋ ਗੁਰੋਂ ਦੁਆਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਮਿਲਾ ਹੈ, ਸੋਈ ਨਾਮ ਸਾਥ ਔਰੋਂ ਕੋ ਮਿਲਾਵਤੇ ਹੈਂ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਭਾ। ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਹੋਇਆ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹੀ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ) ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।

Fareedkot Teekaਤਿਸ ਨਾਮ ਸੇ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਮਨਮੁਖੋਂ ਕਾ ਪਹਿਰਨਾ ਔ ਖਾਣਾ ਸੰਪੂਰਨ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਹੈ, ਪੁਨਾ ਅਣਮਾ, ਮਹਿਮਾ ਆਦਿ ਸਿਧੀਓਂ ਕੋ ਧ੍ਰਿਕਾਰ ਹੈ ਅਰ ਕਰਾਮਾਤ ਕੋ ਭੀ ਧ੍ਰਿਕਾਰ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਖਾਣਾ ਤੇ ਪਹਿਨਣਾ ਸਭ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਹੈ, (ਜੇ ਨਾਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ) ਉਹ ਸਿੱਧੀ ਤੇ ਕਰਾਮਾਤਿ ਫਿਟਕਾਰ-ਜੋਗ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਬਾਦਿ = ਵਿਅਰਥ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਅੰਦਰੁ = ਮਨ {ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ 'ਅੰਦਰੁ' ਅਤੇ 'ਅੰਦਰਿ' ਦਾ ਫ਼ਰਕ ਚੇਤੇ ਰੱਖੋ}। ਤਤੁ = ਅਸਲੀਅਤ। ਮੋਖ ਦੁਆਰੁ = ਮੁਕਤੀ ਦਾ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਾ। ਅਧਾਰੁ = ਆਸਰਾ। ਮੋਖ = (ਹਉਮੈ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਆਦਿਕ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ) ਖ਼ਲਾਸੀ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਹਜਿ = ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ। ਵੀਚਾਰੁ = ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਿਚਾਰ।

Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਜਿਸ ਉਤੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਕੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਖੇਡ ਨੂੰ ਜਿੱਤ ਲੈਦਾ ਹੈ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਜਿਸ ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਉਤੇ ਹਰੀ ਦਇਆਲ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਹਰੀ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਸੰਸਾਰ ਤੋਂ) ਜਿੱਤ (ਕੇ) ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨੧॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਜਿਣਕਾ = ਜਿੱਤ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੨੧॥
