Prof. Sahib Singhਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਇਹ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਕਈ ਕਿਸਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ = ਜਗਤ। ਬਹੁ ਭਿਤਿ = ਬਹੁ ਭਾਂਤ ਦੀ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਚਿ = ਸੱਚ ਵਿਚ, ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿਚ। ਤਜਿ = ਤਿਆਗ ਕੇ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਕਸੁੰਭੇ-ਰੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀਏ! ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਮਾਇਆ ਦਾ ਮੋਹ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਭੈੜੀ ਮਤਿ ਹੈ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਚੁਹਚੁਹਾ ਜਾਪਦਾ ਹੈ (ਭਾਵ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਦਾ ਮੋਹ ਖਿੱਚ ਪਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ);

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸੂਹਵੀ = ਹੇ ਸੂਹੇ ਵੇਸ ਵਾਲੀਏ! ਹੇ ਕਸੁੰਭੇ ਰੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀਏ! ਸੂਹਾ = ਕਸੁੰਭੇ ਦੇ ਰੰਗੇ ਵਾਲਾ, ਚੁਹਚੁਹਾ, ਖਿੱਚ ਪਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਪਰ ਇਹ ਕਸੁੰਭਾ-ਰੰਗ ਝੂਠਾ ਹੈ ਪਲ ਵਿਚ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਰੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਛਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਟਿਕਦੀ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਜੋ ਜੀਵ-ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਨਿਰੋਲ ਪੱਕਾ ਲਾਲ (ਨਾਮ) ਰੰਗ ਚੜ੍ਹਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਮਜੀਠ ਦੇ ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ (ਰੰਗੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ) ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਰੰਗਿ = ਰੰਗ ਵਿਚ। ਸਚੜਾਉ = ਸੱਚਾ, ਪੱਕਾ।

Fareedkot Teeka(ਸਕਤਿ) ਮਾਇਆ ਕੀ ਤਰਫ ਸੇ ਬੁਧੀ ਉਲਟੀ ਹੈ ਔ (ਸਿਵੈ) ਈਸ਼੍ਵਰ ਕੇ ਸਰੂਪ ਮੇਂ ਆਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤਿ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਗੁਰੋਂ ਦੁਆਰੇ ਮਨ ਮੇਂ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਰੂਪ ਹਰੀ ਕਾ ਨਾਮ ਜੋ ਵਸਿਆ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਉਹ ਮਾਇਆ ਵਲੋਂ ਪਰਤ ਕੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਸਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ ਟਿਕਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਕਤਿ = ਮਾਇਆ। ਸਿਵੈ ਘਰਿ = ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਘਰ। ਮਨਿ = ਮਨ ਵਿਚ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਹੋਵੀਏ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਿਆਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੀਦੇ ਹਨ ॥੧॥

Sant Singh KhalsaThe red color is vain and useless; it cannot help you obtain your Husband Lord.

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮੁੰਧ = ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ। ਦੁੰਮਣੀ = ਦੁਚਿੱਤੀ। ਵੇਸਿ = ਵੇਸ ਵਿਚ। ਲਭਾਇ = {ਅੱਖਰ 'ਲ' ਦੀਆਂ ਮਾਤ੍ਰਾਂ (ੋ) ਤੇ (ੁ) ਵਿਚੋਂ ਏਥੇ (ੁ) ਪੜ੍ਹਨਾ ਹੈ; ਅਸਲ ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ 'ਲੋਭਾਇ' ਹੈ}।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਬਖਸਿਓਨੁ = ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਿਆ ਉਸ ਨੇ। ਨਿਧਾਨੁ = ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ। (ਨੋਟ: "ਪਾਈਅਨੁ" ਦਾ ਭਾਵ ਏਥੇ "ਪਾਇਅਨੁ" ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਅਰਥ ਹੈ "ਪਾਏ ਹਨ ਉਸ ਨੇ") ॥੪॥
