ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਮੂਹ = ਢੇਰ (ਭਾਵ, ਸਾਰੇ)। ਭੂਮਿ = ਧਰਤੀ। ਸਬਾਈ = ਸਾਰੀ। ਧਣੀ = ਮਾਲਕ।

ਨਾਨਕ. ਹਭੋ ਰੋਗੁ; ਮਿਰਤਕ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਹੂਣਿਆ ॥੨॥

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਪਰ) ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੇ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਸੱਖਣਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਆਤਮਾ ਮੁਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਖ ਉਸ ਲਈ ਰੋਗ (ਸਮਾਨ) ਹਨ (ਉਸ ਦੀ ਆਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਮੁਰਦਿਹਾਣ ਦੇਂਦੇ ਹਨ) ॥੨॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮਿਰਤਕ = ਮੁਰਦਾ, ਮੁਈ ਆਤਮਾ ਵਾਲਾ ॥੨॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਹਿਕਸ ਕੂੰ = ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ। ਆਹਿ = (ਮਿਲਣ ਦੀ) ਤਾਂਘ ਬਣਾ। ਪਛਾਣੂ = ਮਿੱਤਰ। ਕਰਿ = ਬਣਾ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਆਸ ਪੂਰੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ। ਕਿਸੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਲੈਣਾ ਲੱਜਾ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਨ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਨਿਬਾਹਿ = ਨਿਬਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪੂਰੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰਥਾਈ = {प्रस्थान) ਤੁਰ ਕੇ ਜਾਣਾ, ਆਸਰਾ ਲੈਣਾ। ਲਜੀਵਦੋ = ਲੱਜਾ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਨ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੩॥

Sant Singh KhalsaThe treasure of the Naam is eternal and imperishable. Meditating in remembrance on Him, the Lord is attained.

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ = ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ। ਲਾਧਾ = ਲੱਭ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ = ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ। ਗਵਾਧਾ = ਗਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇਹੀ ਹੈ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਧਰਮ ਤੇ ਇਹੀ ਹੈ ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਤਪ।

Sant Singh KhalsaCompassion, righteousness, Dharma and intense meditation are eternal and imperishable; they alone obtain these, who have such pre-ordained destiny.
Manmohan SinghCompassion, righteousness and Lord's service are eternal. He alone obtains them, in whose destiny it is so writ.
Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਰਹਿਮ, ਸਚਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਾਲਸਥਾਈ ਹਨ। ਕੇਵਲ ਉਹ ਹੀ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਲਭਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
Fareedkot Teekaਦਇਆ ਰੂਪ ਜੋ ਧਰਮ ਤਪ ਹੈ ਓਹ ਭੀ ਨਿਸਚਲ ਹੈ, ਪਰੰਤੂ ਏਹ ਬੀਚਾਰ ਤਿਸ ਕੋ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤਿ ਹੋਤਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਕੇ ਭਾਗੋਂ ਮੇਂ ਲਿਖਾ ਹੈ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਪਰ ਇਹ ਅਟੱਲ ਤਪ ਦਇਆ ਤੇ ਧਰਮ ਉਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਮੇਹਰ ਨਾਲ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਕਰਮਿ = (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ) ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਸ਼ ਨਾਲ।

Sant Singh KhalsaThe inscription inscribed upon one's forehead is eternal and imperishable; it cannot be avoided by avoidance.
Manmohan SinghPermanent is the writ, inscribed on the forehead. By erasing, that can be erased not.

Prof. Sahib Singhਮੱਥੇ ਉਤੇ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਇਹ ਲੇਖ ਐਸਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੇ ਟਾਲਿਆਂ ਟਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮਸਤਕਿ = ਮੱਥੇ ਉਤੇ। ਟਲਾਧਾ = ਟਾਲਿਆਂ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਹਜਿ = ਸਹਜ ਅਵਸਥਾ ਵਿਚ, ਆਤਮਕ ਅਡੋਲਤਾ ਵਿਚ। ਆਲਕ = ਆਲਸ।
