Fareedkot Teeka(ਤਨੁ) ਸੂਖਮ ਜੋ ਮਨ ਹੈ ਔ ਜੋ ਅਸਥੂਲ ਸਰੀਰ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਗੁਰੋਂ ਕੋ ਸੌਂਪ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਹਰਿ ਕੋ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਸਲਾਹੀਏ॥
Prof. Sahib Singh(ਹੇ ਜੀਵ!) ਤਨ ਮਨ ਸਰੀਰ (ਆਪਣਾ ਆਪ) ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਕੇ (ਭਾਵ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਪੂਰਨ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ) ਸਦਾ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਉਪਿ = ਸੌਂਪ ਕੇ, ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਕੇ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ) ਗੁਰ-ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ (ਸਿਮਰਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ, ਡੂੰਘੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਦਿਲ ਵਾਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਗਹਿਰ = ਡੂੰਘਾ। ਗੰਭੀਰੁ = ਜਿਗਰੇ ਵਾਲਾ, ਭਾਰਾ-ਗੌਰਾ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਹੀਰਾ ਹੀਰੁ = ਹੀਰਿਆਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਹੀਰਾ, ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਹੀਰਾ (ਰੂਪ)।

Prof. Sahib Singhਉਸ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦਾ ਦੁੱਖ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਫਿਰ (ਇਸ ਗੇੜ ਵਿਚ) ਚੱਕਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਾਣਾ ਪੈਂਦਾ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਫੀਰੁ = ਫੇਰਾ।

SikhNet (Spanish)Contemplándolo el dolor del nacimiento y de la muerte se acaban y ya no tienes que regresar al mundo de la forma otra vez.

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! (ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ-ਅੱਗ ਵਿਚ) ਸੜੇ ਹੋਏ ਇਸ ਸਰੀਰ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ 'ਨਾਮ' ਵਿਸਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਸੋ, ਸਰੀਰ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਕਾ ਦੇਹ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਤਨੁ = ਸਰੀਰ, ਸਰੀਰ ਦਾ ਮੋਹ, ਦੇਹ-ਅਧਿਆਸ। ਜਿਨਿ = ਜਿਸ (ਸਰੀਰ) ਨੇ। ਜਲਿਐ = (ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ-ਅੱਗ ਵਿਚ) ਸੜੇ ਹੋਏ ਨੇ।

Sant Singh KhalsaThe dirt is piling up, and in the world hereafter, your hand shall not be able to reach down into this stagnant pond to clean it out. ||1||
Manmohan SinghThe refuse of sins is accumulating in the low-lying tank of thy soul. Hereafter the hand shall not be able to reach there to cleanse it.
Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਪਾਪਾਂ ਦੀ ਗੰਦਗੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਉਸ ਆਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨੀਵੇਂ ਤਾਲਾਬ ਅੰਦਰ ਜਮ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਏਦੂੰ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਫ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੱਥ ਓਥੇ ਪੁੱਜ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਣਾ।
Fareedkot Teekaਤਿਸ ਰਿਦੇ ਰੂਪੀ ਨੀਵੇਂ ਤਾਲ ਮੇਂ ਪਾਪੋਂ ਰੂਪ ਪਰਾਲੀ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਮਲੁ ਪੜਤੀ ਜਾਤੀ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਤੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਹੀ ਆਤਮ ਵਸਤੂ ਕੋ ਨਿਕਾਲ ਲੈ, ਭਾਵ ਜਾਣ ਲੈ। ਜਬ ਰਿਦਾ ਪਾਪੋਂ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਅਟਿਆ ਗਇਆ ਫੇਰ ਪਿਛੇ ਬੁਧੀ ਰੂਪ ਹਥ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਹੁਚੇਗਾ॥੧॥
Prof. Sahib Singh(ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਣ) ਗਿਰਾਵਟ ਵਿਚ ਆਏ ਇਸ ਹਿਰਦੇ-ਤਲਾਬ ਵਿਚ (ਪਾਪਾਂ ਦੀ) ਪਰਾਲੀ ਇਕੱਠੀ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ (ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੱਢਣ ਲਈ) ਫਿਰ ਪੇਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਇਗੀ ॥੧॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਪਰਾਲਿ = ਪਰਾਲੀ, ਪਾਪਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਰਾਲੀ। ਨਿਵੰਧੈ ਤਾਲਿ = ਨੀਵੇਂ ਤਲਾਬ ਵਿਚ, ਗਿਰਾਵਟ ਵਿਚ ਆਏ ਹੋਏ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ। ਅੰਬੜੈ = ਅੱਪੜਦਾ। ਪਉਦੀ ਜਾਇ = ਪੈਂਦੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। ਤਿਤੁ = ਇਸ ਵਿਚ ॥੧॥

Prof. Sahib Singhਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਤਾਂ ਇਤਨੇ ਮੰਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਗਿਣੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੇ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਫਿਟਿਆ = ਫਿਟਕਾਰ-ਯੋਗ, ਮੰਦੇ।

SikhNet (Spanish)Dice Nanak, las andanzas de tu mente son viles; no las podría uno ni contar.

ਕਿਤੀ ਲਹਾ ਸਹੰਮ; ਜਾ ਬਖਸੇ. ਤਾ ਧਕਾ ਨਹੀ ॥੨॥

kitee lahaa saham; jaa bakhase. taa dhakaa nahee |2|

Sant Singh KhalsaThey bring terrible and painful retributions, but if the Lord forgives me, then I will be spared this punishment. ||2||
Manmohan SinghMuch torture shall I have to suffer for these misdeeds. But if the Lord forgives, then I shall be buffetted not.
Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੁਕਰਮਾਂ ਲਈ ਮੈਂਨੂੰ ਘਣੇਰਾ ਤਸੀਹਾ ਕਟਣਾ ਪਵੇਗਾ। ਪ੍ਰੰਤੂ ਜੇਕਰ ਮਾਲਕ ਮੁਆਫ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇ, ਤਦ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਧੌਲ-ਧੱਪਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
Fareedkot Teekaਤਿਨੋਂ ਕਾਮੋਂ ਕੀ ਕਿਤਨੀ, ਭਾਵ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ (ਸਹੰਮ) ਪੀੜਾ ਵਾ ਗਮੀ ਪਾਵਾਂਗਾ, ਜਬ ਪਰਮੇਸਰ ਬਖਸੇਗਾ ਤੌ ਕੋਈ ਧਕਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਗੇਗਾ॥੨॥
Prof. Sahib Singh(ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਣ) ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਹਿਮ ਭੀ ਬੜੇ ਸਹਾਰਨੇ ਪੈ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਜਦੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ (ਉਸ ਦੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਧੱਕਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦਾ ॥੨॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਹੰਮ = ਸਹਿਮ, ਫ਼ਿਕਰ। ਕਿਤੀ = ਕਿਤਨੇ। ਲਹਾ = ਮੈਂ ਸਹਾਂਗਾ ॥੨॥

Sant Singh KhalsaTrue is the Command He sends forth, and True are the Orders He issues.

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਘਰਿ = ਘਰ ਵਿਚ, ਭਟਕਣ ਤੋਂ ਹਟ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਦਰ ਤੇ। ਵਧਾਈ ਵਜੀ = ਵਧਾਈ ਵੱਜਦੀ ਹੈ, ਚੜ੍ਹਦੀ ਕਲਾ ਬਣਦੀ ਹੈ।

Fareedkot Teekaਦਿਨ (ਬਗਾ) ਚਿਟਾ ਹੋਤਾ ਹੈ (ਤਪੈ ਘਣਾ) ਬਹੁਤ ਤਪਤਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰੰਤੂ ਕਾਲਿਆਂ ਪਦਾਰਥੋਂ ਕੇ ਕਾਲੇ ਹੀ ਰੰਗ ਰਹਿਤੇ ਹੈਂ। ਤੈਸੇ ਕਾਲੀਆਂ ਰਾਤੀ ਸਮ ਜੋ ਕੁਸੰਗਤ ਹੈ ਤਿਸ ਕੇ ਸੰਗ ਕਰ ਉਜਲ ਜੋ ਮਹਾਤਮਾ ਹੈਂ ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਪਾਪੋਂ ਕਾ ਸਪਰਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਤਾ, ਅਰੁ ਦਿਨ ਸਮ ਉਜਲ ਜੋ ਸਤਸੰਗੁ ਹੈ ਤਿਸ ਕੇ ਸਾਥ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਦੁਸਟਾਂ ਕੀ ਬੁਧੀ ਉਜਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਤੀ, ਭਾਵ ਕਾਲੀ ਪਾਪ ਰੂਪ ਹੀ ਰਹਤੀ ਹੈ॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਇਕਿ = ਕਈ ਜੀਵ। ਖੁਆਇਅਨੁ = ਖੁੰਝਾਏ ਹਨ ਉਸ ਨੇ। ਵਿਆਪੇ = ਫਸੇ ਹੋਏ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਇਹ ਸਰੀਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਕੀਹ ਕਰਨਾ ਸੀ) ਇਹ ਸਮਝ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪ ਸਮਝ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੇ ਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਥਾਪਣਾ ਦੇਵੇ।
