ਰਾਜੰ ਤ ਮਾਨੰ; ਅਭਿਮਾਨੰ, ਤ, ਹੀਨੰ ॥

Prof. Sahib Singhਜਿਥੇ ਰਾਜ ਹੈ, ਉਥੇ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਭੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਥੇ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਹੈ, ਉਥੇ ਨਿਰਾਦਰੀ ਭੀ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਤ = ਤੇ, ਭੀ। ਹੀਨੰ = ਹੀਨਤਾ, ਨਿਰਾਦਰੀ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਮਾਰਗੰ = ਰਸਤਾ (मार्ग)। ਪ੍ਰਵਿਰਤਿ ਮਾਰਗ = ਦੁਨੀਆ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਵਿਰਤ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਰਸਤਾ।

Fareedkot Teekaਸੰਤੋਂ ਕੇ ਸੰਗ ਕਰ ਜੋ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਕਾ ਭਜਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ, ਸੋਈ ਅਸਥਿਰੁ ਹੈ। ਸੋ ਐਸੇ ਸੰਤ ਹੀ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਹੈਂ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਤਿਨੋਂ ਸੰਤੋਂ ਨੇ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਕੇ ਭਜਨ ਕਾ (ਅਸਨੰ) ਭੋਜਨੁ ਕੀਆ ਹੈ॥੧੨॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ (ਦੇ ਆਸਰੇ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ)। (ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ) ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਭਗਵਾਨ ਦੇ ਭਜਨ ਦਾ ਭੋਜਨ (ਆਪਣੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਹ) ॥੧੨॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਅਸਥਿਰੰ = ਸਦਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ। ਭਜਨਾਸਨੰ = ਭਜਨ-ਅਸਨ, ਭਜਨ ਦਾ ਭੋਜਨ (ਅਸਨ = ਭੋਜਨ) (अश् = to eat) ॥੧੨॥

* ਭਾਵ: ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਦਿੱਸਦੀ ਹਰੇਕ ਸ਼ੈ ਦਾ ਅੰਤ ਭੀ ਹੈ। ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਿਭ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਇਹ ਨਾਮ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚੋਂ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਕਿਰਪੰਤ = ਕਿਰਪਾ (कृपा)। ਹਰੀਅੰ = ਹਰੀ, ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ (हरि)।ਤਤੁ ਗਿਆਨ = ਅਸਲੀਅਤ ਦੀ ਸਮਝ, ਸਹੀ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਸੂਝ।

Prof. Sahib Singh(ਅਜੇਹੀ ਬੁੱਧੀ) ਸੁਖ ਦਾ ਟਿਕਾਣਾ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, (ਅਜੇਹੀ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਵਾਲੇ) ਗਿਆਨਵਾਨ ਲੋਕ ਸਦਾ ਖਿੜੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਬਿਗਸੀਧ੍ਯ੍ਯਿ = ਖਿੜੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਬੁਧਾ = ਗਿਆਨਵਾਨ ਲੋਕ (बुध)।ਕੁਸਲ = ਸੁਖ, ਆਨੰਦ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਰਹੰਤ = ਰਹਿ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਲੀਣਾ = ਮਸਤ।

* ਭਾਵ: ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਹੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਸੂਝ ਆ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਕਾਬੂ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇ ਉਹ ਸਦਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਦੀਦਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਮਸਤ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਵੇਦ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਦਵਾਨ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਕਈ ਢੰਗਾਂ ਤਰੀਕਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਚਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤੇ (ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ) ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਸੁਣਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਕਹੰਤ = ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਗੁਣੰਤ = ਵਿਚਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਗੁਨੀਆ = ਵਿਚਾਰਵਾਨ ਮਨੁੱਖ। ਬਾਲਾ = ਬਾਲਕ, ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ। ਬਹੁ ਬਿਧਿ = ਕਈ ਤਰੀਕਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ। ਬਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰਾ = ਕਈ ਕਿਸਮਾਂ ਦੇ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਜਾਚੰਤ = ਮੰਗਦੇ ਹਨ (याचान्त)। ਦੈਨਹਾਰ = ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ॥੧੪॥

* ਭਾਵ: ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਵਿੱਦਿਆ ਹੈ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ। ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਉਤੇ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਉਸ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਸਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੀ ਦਾਤਿ ਮੰਗਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।

* ਭਾਵ: ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਤਰ ਭਟਕਣੋਂ ਬਚ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਵਿਕਾਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਫਸਣੋਂ ਬਚ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

Fareedkot Teekaਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਹਿਤੇ ਹੈਂ: ਇਸ ਘਰ ਕੇ ਦੁਖੋਂ ਕੀ ਨਿਵਰਤੀ ਰੂਪ ਸਿਧੀ ਕੋ ਅਨੇਕ ਸਾਧਨੋਂ ਕੇ ਕਰਨੇ ਕਰ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤਿ ਹੋਤਾ ਹੈ। ਤਾਂ ਤੇ ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਇਸ ਜੀਵ ਕੋ ਇਨ ਦੁਖੋਂ ਤੇ ਬਚਾਵਨੇਹਾਰਾ ਤੀਨੋਂ ਕਾਲ ਮੇਂ ਸੰਤ ਜਨੋਂ ਸ੍ਵਜਨੋ ਕਾ (ਸਬਦ) ਉਪਦੇਸ ਹੀ (ਅਸਥੰਭੰ) ਆਸਰਾ ਰੂਪ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵ ਯੇਹਿ ਗੁਰੋਂ ਕੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਧਾਰਨ

* ਭਾਵ: ਕੋਈ ਵੱਡੇ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੇ ਕਠਨ ਤਪ ਭੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੇ। ਜਿੰਦ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਗੁਰ-ਸ਼ਬਦ ਹੀ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸ੍ਰੋਤਾ = ਸੁਣਨ ਵਾਲਾ। ਅਮੋਘ = ਸਫਲ, ਫਲ ਦੇਣ ਤੋਂ ਨਾਹ ਉੱਕਣ ਵਾਲਾ (अमोघ)। ਅਮੋਘ ਦਰਸਨਹ = ਉਸ ਦਾ ਦੀਦਾਰ ਸਫਲ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਰਣ ਜੋਗੰ = ਸਰਨ ਆਏ ਦੀ ਸਹੈਤਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਸਮਰੱਥ। ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ = ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ। ਖੇਮੰ = ਕੁਸ਼ਲ, ਸੁਖ (क्षेमं)। ਕਰੋਤਿ = (करोति) ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ॥੧੯॥

* ਭਾਵ: ਨਾਮ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ ਸਹੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਜਿਊਣ ਦੀ ਜਾਚ ਆ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਆਚਰਨ ਉੱਚਾ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਸਭ ਜੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੀ ਜਾਣਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਭਗਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਤਰਸ ਦਾ ਘਰ ਹੈ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਸਰਬਗ੍ਯ੍ਯ = (सर्वज्ञ) ਸਭ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੀ ਜਾਣਨ ਵਾਲਾ। ਪੂਰਨ ਪੁਰਖ = ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ। ਭਗਤਿ ਵਛਲ = ਭਗਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ। ਕਰੁਣਾ-ਮਯਹ = ਕਰੁਣਾ-ਮਯਹ, (करुणा = ਤਰਸ) ਤਰਸ-ਰੂਪ, ਦਇਆ-ਸਰੂਪ।
