ਪਰਬਤੁ ਸੁਇਨਾ ਰੁਪਾ ਹੋਵੈ; ਹੀਰੇ ਲਾਲ ਜੜਾਉ ॥

Sant Singh Khalsaif the mountains became gold and silver, studded with gems and jewels
Manmohan Singhand were the mountains to become gold and silver and be studded with jewels and gems.
Manmohan Singh (Punjabi)ਅਤੇ ਜੇਕਰ ਪਹਾੜ ਸੋਨੇ ਤੇ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਣ, ਅਤੇ ਜਵਾਹਿਰਾਤ ਤੇ ਮਾਣਕਾ ਨਾਲ ਜੜੇ ਜਾਣ।

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਰੁਪਾ = ਰੁੱਪਾ, ਚਾਂਦੀ।

ਭੀ ਤੂੰਹੈ ਸਾਲਾਹਣਾ; ਆਖਣ. ਲਹੈ ਨ ਚਾਉ ॥੧॥

bhee toonhai saalaahanaa; aakhan. lahai na chaau |1|

Sant Singh Khalsa-even then, I would worship and adore You, and my longing to chant Your Praises would not decrease. ||1||
Manmohan SinghEven then, I would admire Thee, O Lord! and my yearning to utter Thine praises shall not abate.

Prof. Sahib Singhਤਾਂ ਭੀ (ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਮੈਂ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਨਾਹ ਫਸਾਂ ਤੇ) ਤੇਰੀ ਹੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰਾਂ, ਤੇਰੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਚਾਉ ਮੁੱਕ ਨਾਹ ਜਾਏ ॥੧॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਆਖਣ ਚਾਉ = ਤੇਰੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਚਾਉ। ਤੂੰ ਹੈ = ਤੈਨੂੰ ਹੀ ॥੧॥

Fareedkot Teekaਬੱਤੀ ਸੈ ਸੱਠ ੩੨੬੦ ਤੋਲੇ ਕਾ ਏਕ ਭਾਰ ਹੋਤਾ ਹੈ। ਏਕ ਪੱਤਾ ਏਕ ਬ੍ਰਿਛ ਜਾਤੀ ਸੇ ਲੇਨਾ ਐਸੇ ਅਠਾਰਾਂ ਭਾਰ ਸ਼ਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣ ਸੇ ਬਨਾਸਪਤੀ ਹੈ। ਸੋ ਸਭ ਮੇਵਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇ, ਗਰੜਾ ਨਾਮ ਏਕ ਕਿਸਮ ਕੇ ਚਾਵਲੋਂ ਕਾ ਹੈ, ਸੋ ਸੁਆਦ, ਭਾਵ ਖਾਣੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਹੋਵੇ, ਭਾਵ ਸਰਬ ਭੋਜਨ ਅਵਤਰ ਆ ਗਏ॥
Prof. Sahib Singhਜੇ ਸਾਰੀ ਬਨਸਪਤੀ ਮੇਵਾ ਬਣ ਜਾਏ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਸੁਆਦ ਬਹੁਤ ਰਸੀਲਾ ਹੋਵੇ,

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਭਾਰ ਅਠਾਰਹ = ੧੮ ਭਾਰ, ਸਾਰੀ ਬਨਸਪਤੀ {ਪੁਰਾਤਨ ਖ਼ਿਆਲ ਤੁਰਿਆ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੇ ਬ੍ਰਿਛ-ਬੂਟੇ ਦਾ ਇਕ ਇਕ ਪੱਤਰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਤੋਲੇ ਜਾਣ ਤਾਂ ਸਾਰਾ ਤੋਲ '੧੮ ਭਾਰ' ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਕ ਭਾਰ ਦਾ ਵਜ਼ਨ ਹੈ ੫ ਮਣ ਕੱਚੇ}। ਗਰੁੜਾ = ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿਚ ਘੁਲ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ, ਰਸੀਲਾ। ਸੁਆਉ = ਸੁਆਦ।

Sant Singh Khalsaand the growing grass became sweet rice; if I were able to stop the sun and the moon in their orbits and hold them perfectly steady

Prof. Sahib Singhਜੇ (ਮੇਰੇ) ਸਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਦੁੱਖ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਏ, ਦੋਵੇਂ ਮਨਹੂਸ ਤਾਰੇ ਰਾਹੂ ਤੇ ਕੇਤੂ (ਮੇਰੇ ਲਾਗੂ ਹੋ ਜਾਣ),

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਦੇਹੈ = ਸਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ। ਰਾਹੁ = ਰਾਹੂ। ਦੁਇ = ਦੋਵੇਂ ਰਾਹੂ ਤੇ ਕੇਤੂ। ਪਾਪ ਗਰਹ = ਪਾਪਾਂ ਦੇ ਗ੍ਰਹ, ਮਨਹੂਸ ਤਾਰੇ।

Prof. Sahib Singhਜ਼ਾਲਮ ਰਾਜੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਿਰ ਤੇ ਹੋਣ, ਜੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ (ਭਾਵ, ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਲ ਵਿਚ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ) ਪਰਗਟ ਹੋਵੇ,

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਰਤੁ ਪੀਣੇ = ਜ਼ਾਲਮ। ਏਵੈ = ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੀ। ਭਾਉ = ਪਿਆਰ। ਜਾਪੈ = ਪਰਗਟ ਹੋਵੇ। ਏਵੈ = ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ {ਪੁਰਾਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਥਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੋਹਨੀ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਿਚ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਰਿੜਕ ਕੇ ੧੪ ਰਤਨ ਕੱਢੇ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਇਕ ਸੀ 'ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ' ਜਦੋਂ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਰਲ ਕੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਪੀਣ ਲੱਗੇ, ਤਾਂ 'ਰਾਹੂ' ਦੈਂਤ ਭੀ ਭੇਸ ਵਟਾ ਕੇ ਆ ਬੈਠਾ ਤੇ 'ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ' ਪੀ ਗਿਆ। ਚੰਦਰਮਾ ਤੇ ਸੂਰਜ ਨੇ ਪਛਾਣ ਲਿਆ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਮੋਹਨੀ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਸੁਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਚੱਕਰ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਸਿਰ ਕੱਟ ਦਿੱਤਾ। 'ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ' ਪੀਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਇਹ ਮਰ ਨ ਸਕਿਆ ਹੁਣ ਤਕ ਵੈਰ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਕਦੇ ਕਦੇ ਚੰਦਰਮਾ ਤੇ ਸੂਰਜ ਨੂੰ ਆ ਗ੍ਰਸਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਦੋਂ ਗ੍ਰਹਣ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ}

Fareedkot Teekaਜੇਠ ਅਖਾੜ ਕਾ ਕਪੜਾ (ਅਗੀ) ਅਗਨ ਹੋਵੇ ਪਾਲਾ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਵਰਫ ਸੀਤ ਕਾਲ ਕਾ ਕਪੜਾ ਪਹਰਨੇ ਕੋ ਹੋਵੇ, ਭਾਵ ਏਹ ਕਿ ਗ੍ਰੀਖਮ ਅਗਨੀ ਮੇਂ ਬੈਠ ਰਹੇ ਸੀਤ ਕਾਲ ਮੇਂ ਵਰਫ ਮੇਂ, ਸਿਧੀ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਾਪ ਕਰ ਦੱਖਨ ਦੇਸ ਕੇ ਔਰ ਪੌਣ ਖਾਣਾ ਹੋਵੇ॥

ਪਦ ਅਰਥ ਅਗੀ = ਅੱਗ, ਗਰਮੀਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਸੂਰਜ ਦੀ ਤਪਦੀ ਧੁੱਪ ਤੇ ਸੇਕ। ਪਾਲਾ = ਸਿਆਲੀ ਠੰਢ। ਵਾਉ = ਹਵਾ।
